Hi,

I installed Lucid 1.0.0 on a debian/etch server with apache2. I can login, but after logging in i only see a white screen. www-data is the user running apache2 and all files in the lucid directory are owned by www-data. At the installation there were no errors.

Someone an idea?

Thanks in advance, for helping me out.

It looks like there's a problem with sessions. Make sure you have cookies enabled, and that the database user has permissions to the session table. If everything looks OK, post back here with any log messages that Lucid is printing out, and we'll try and figure out what's going on.

The user that is used to log in, is the admin of lucid and the user that is used to logon to the database is the owner (I'm using Postgresql). Where does lucid print out any log messages? error.log and access.log of apache2 In error.log there is a generic error. What does this mean?

start access.log

Thanks for the report.

To try and debug your error, I've installed Postgres locally to try and see if it would work fine. I also got the same error. I've added this to our bug tracking system, and it will be fixed for the 1.0 release.

In the mean time, I encourage you to try using a different database system until we fix the problem.

I'd reccomend trying sqlite, it should work for a small number of users, and it doesn't require any extra software running in the background.

Ok, just to let you know what's going on, we're going to be fixing this for RC2, which should be out pretty soon (hopefully by the end of the week). Sorry you're having problems getting things working, but we're glad you pointed this out. Thanks!

Thanks for helping me out. I'll install the RC2 next week and try again.

ticket #333

We tried to fix it, but weren't too successful. Unfortunately MDB2 is having issues when it comes to prepared statements, and this is an essential security feature that shouldn't be bypassed. I'm really sorry that we couldn't get it working, however, you can still use Lucid with MySQL or SQLite.
