I think we should decide a release date for 1.0.

Lately I've been thinking of a great way to solve the backend issue.

1.X releases will always be powered by a PHP backend and will always have security updates and occasional feature updates. 2.X+ releases will be powered by a Persevere backend.

Users who want the newest, latest and greatest will be able to download the 2.X+ release, and users who are using shared hosting etc could use the 1.X release for their servers.

Thoughts?

That's a possibility, but then you'd have to write apps for two separate versions. If I were a dev, I would want to write once, and have it run on both Persevere and PHP.

So the current Version is still 1.0 Beta or? Will there be any great changes in the realease Candidate from 1.0 Beta?

Will 2.x with the Persevere backend be realesed parallel to the 1.x Versions or what's about that? Currently im working on an German translation for Lucid but next Weekend im going to get my new Server and then i may can you guys to may solve some problems in the current Release.

On weekend i think i get the German translation ready. Is there any place i could Upload that or do I have to send someone an E-Mail with the translation files?

Currently, 1.0.0.rc1 is released, and there weren't many changes from the beta (some bug fixes, etc). We currently have not decided on keeping PHP or not, but Persevere will be used after the 1.0 release. (We don't know if we're calling that 1.1 or 2.0, yet).

Adding to what Jay said, You can submit the translations to the code site. Just make sure you've signed a CLA, otherwise we can't accept it.

Thanks for your answer. Sry guys but the German Translation will have to wait for about one more week cause today, i've got some more stuff to do... As soon as im finish will upload this on the code page.

I should also mention, we have a lot of German visitors (it's ranked the third highest language out of all our visitors). I'm sure many would find German translations extremely helpful.
